What are the cancellation rules on Celavivo?
Refund and cancellation outcomes depend on who cancels, when, και what part of the payment is involved. Celavivo’s deposit is governed by platform rules, while vendor fees follow the vendor’s own contract.
💰 The Celavivo deposit (12%)
- The 12% deposit is a Celavivo platform fee
- It covers services such as vendor matching, protected messaging, contracts, and support
- The deposit is separate from the vendor’s fee
🕒 Cooling-off period (cash refunds)
You may receive a cash refund of the deposit if:
- You cancel within 24 hours of payment, και
- Your event date is at least 14 days away
Payment errors (such as duplicate or unauthorised charges) are always refundable.
❌ Customer cancellations (after 24 hours)
- After the 24-hour window, the deposit is δεν επιστρέφεται
- No cash refund or credit is issued for customer-initiated cancellations
- Any charges related to the vendor’s remaining balance depend solely on the vendor’s cancellation policy in your signed contract
🔄 Vendor cancellations
If a vendor cancels a confirmed booking:
- Celavivo will first attempt to offer reasonable replacement vendors
- If you accept a replacement, your booking continues and the deposit is transferred
- If no suitable replacement is available, or you decline all reasonable options, you will receive a Celavivo credit/coupon equal to the deposit
This credit can be used to book another vendor on Celavivo.
📄 Vendor fees beyond the deposit
- Το Celavivo δεν collect the vendor’s remaining balance
- Any refunds, charges, or penalties related to the remaining balance are governed only by the vendor’s own cancellation policy shown in the listing and e-contract
⚠️ Important notes
- Event bookings are date-specific services
- Using cancellations to arrange off-platform payments is not permitted
- Filing a chargeback cancels the booking and may result in account restrictions
