How Request Changes Works in Contracts for Customers

This article explains how the Request Changes feature works for customers, and what happens after each action.

For Customers

When should I use Request Changes?

As a customer, you should use Request Changes if:

  • You want to change contract terms
  • Some booking details are incorrect
  • You need clarification or adjustments before signing

The Request Changes button is available after the contract is issued and before you sign it.

What happens after you click Request Changes

  1. You click Request Changes on the contract.
  2. The contract status changes to:
    Customer requested changes
  3. The vendor is notified immediately.
  4. The contract is temporarily locked for signing.

At this stage:

  • ❌ You cannot sign the contract
  • ⏳ You must wait for the vendor to resend an updated version

When the vendor resends the contract

Once the vendor reviews your request and resends the contract:

  • You will see a new, updated contract
  • The status changes to:
    Pending customer signature
  • The View / Sign Contract button opens the latest version only

You can then:

  • Review the updated terms
  • Sign the contract if you agree

⚠️ Note:

  • The previous contract version is automatically replaced
  • You will always sign the most recent contract

After you sign

Once both you and the vendor have signed:

  • The contract status becomes:
    Fully signed
  • The final contract is available in your dashboard
